Meeting Alfie Deyes & James Bay | London 15 ♥

Hello Everyone ♥

Welcome back to my blog... so recently i went to London to meet Alfie Deyes (Pointless Blog) and James Bay, and i thought i would share my experience with you guys! Comment below what celebrities you have met recently or celebrities you would love to meet. I hope you enjoy...

So a few weeks before this event, Alfie tweeted about a meet up in London @ Waterstones but you had to enter it so you wasn't guaranteed a place as you couldn't buy tickets but luckily i won tickets to the meet and greet as well as about 300 other people. The meet and greet was in Waterstones, Piccadilly and we had the choice of purchasing a signed book or not but i didn't as i already own The Pointless Book 2 so didn't see the point lol.

We went into a private signing room and qued up to meet him. We had a hug and a little chat & then got some photos as well which i will post below. It was my 2nd time meeting him and he was still the lovely guy i met about a year ago! He asked everyones names and got a picture with everyone as well, he was so so lovely.

Before the meet and greet i also visited the oxford street Lush which is AMAZING. It's huge and has two floors, i bought Frozen & Intergalactic bath bombs. I also went to Primark and bought a couple of bits from Gabby's range (velvet ghost) including the smoothie cup and quote plaque, i basically wanted the whole range though because it's all beautiful.

So on the 4th of September i went to meet James Bay at Radio 1 in Central London. He was part of the "Even More Music" month on Radio 1 where they have a live lounge everyday in September and James Bay was on the friday. So i went a long with the hope of meeting him as he is one of my favourite artists ever ever ever, i'm obsessed with him and i have been wanting to meet him for a long time. We met him on the way in first of all around 10am but it was quite rushed so we waited until he came out as well. I met 2 lovely girls and 1 lovely guy there as well, we were sat outside watching it live from my iphone haha, i love meeting people through my travels to London. We also met Nick Grimshaw (grimmy) as he had just finished his show, i was pretty chuffed with meeting him because i listen to the breakfast show every morning and i bloody love him.

When he went into radio 1, i legit look so fugly hahhhaa

About 1pm he came out and we sung happy birthday to him as it was his birthday as well! He loved it and really appreciated it, it was so cute. I will share a link to it on my You Tube here if you fancy watching! >>>> https://youtu.be/h9ihI2hWvds I really really love my photo with second photo with him, so much better than the first haha!
LOOK AT HIS BEAUTIFUL FACE ♥
I also got papped but the photo is dreadful and wouldn't be good for your eyes so i'll leave that one out.. haha!

I hope you enjoyed todays blog post about my recent trips to London and i'll see you on Sunday with another blog post! Thank you for reading and making it this far down ♥

Reading Festival | 2015 ❤

Hello Everyone! I recently went to Reading Festival on Saturday 29th August for the day and legit had one of the best days of my life so i thought i would share my first experience at Reading with you... If you have been this year or previous years comment below your experience & highlights, i'd love to know :)

Okay so we set off to get the train about 8am as it took about 2 hours to get there and doors opened at 11. I'll also give you a detailed run down of my outfit here >>

Urban Outfitters Check Shirt (couldn't find my one so linked an alternative)
Shop Dakota ChokerNew Look Hoops & New Look Midi Rings (in the sale so no longer selling)
Sunglasses - Camden Market
Bum Bag - La Moda (in black)

So after having trouble finding the actual festival (hardly any sign posts from the station) and the shuttle bus que being ridiculously long we just risked it and followed the crowd and we made it! So we got in scanned our tickets, searched us and exchanged our tickets for wristbands and off we went to see Nothing But Thieves who were playing the Radio 1/NME Stage. I was super super excited to see this band as i'm literally obsessed with them, they also come from the area i live in as well which i didn't actually find out until after i had been listening to them! They did not disappoint, considering it was 12pm they had an amazing turn out and they put on such an incredible set. CONOR MASONS VOCALS THOUGH. IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW.
Song Highlight - Trip Switch

After NBT set we chilled for a bit, got some food and sat and ate it on the grass until another act we wanted to see was on.

We then caught the incredible surprise set from Foals in the Radio 1/NME tent who were AMAZING. Literally can't stop listening to their album after seeing them live, i now understand the hype over foals!
Song Highlight = What Went Down

We then went to see Slaves at the BBC Radio 1/NME Stage and it was MENTAL. I literally had the best time ever, i was so f***ing excited to see slaves it was unreal and they were INCREDIBLE. Their live sets are just something else, they have so much energy it's amazing. At one point i couldn't even stretch my arms out they were bunched up by my chest because that's how squashed we were and i literally was sweating so much but it was hilarious. Massive mosh pits and we were being pushed forward and backward hahaha, they were SO sick.
Song Highlight = The Hunter

We then went to the Radio 1 Dance Tent to see DJ Fresh, his set was so so good. I was not expecting a lot as i'm not a massive fan but we went and it was bloody amazing. The whole tent was rammed and outside was queing as well. Within 30 seconds of Hot Right Now we were in a massive mosh pit being thrown everywhere and treading on each other which was 1. scary considering my phone was in my hand and my fave sunglasses were on my head and 2. hilarious. He played tune after tune!
Song Highlight = Hot Right Now

We then went to see the fab Circa Waves in Radio 1/NME tent and they were so good! I'm quite a fan of them and love their album so i was looking forward to their set, it was amazing!
Song Highlight = Stuck In My Teeth

Then it was time for Royal Blood!!!!!!! I was so so so excited to see these guys, i'm such a huge fan of them and i think the amount of noise they come out with for a 2 piece band is just incredible and i can't get my head around to be honest. They were on the main stage so it was a huge crowd for them and their set was awesome, amazing, incredible and bloody brilliant. I knew every lyric to every song and had no shame lol! They also performed a brand new song (YES TO NEW ROYAL BLOOD) and it was so good. Everyone was going mental for them and they so deserved that slot on the main stage, they put everything into their set and it was one of my main highlights of the day. I already wanna see them again.
Song Highlight = Figure It Out

After that we headed to the Radio 1/NME tent (once again lol) to see the band i had been waiting all freaking day for.... CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN ♥♥♥♥♥ They are my faves and i was SO excited it was a joke. It was a lot of pushing and shoving before it had even started because people were pushing to the front and then people were pushing for no reason lol. We were all chilled just standing there then all of a sudden a group of people from the far right must have all pushed to the left because everyone from the right to left just fell over haha, it was so scary because it was so unexpected and i was trying so hard to not fall over so i didn't get trampled on but i had to laugh because i looked up and everyone was crouched on the floor hahhahaahaa.
Song Highlight = Pacifer/Kathleen (couldn't choose ok)

Catfish and The Bottlemen were ABSOLUTELY BLOODY INCREDIBLE!
The crowd were just going mental for them and i had the absolute time of my life watching my favourite band. They put on such a fricking good set it was the absoloute highlight of my whole day. We were sweating SO much, my makeup was dripping off, my feet hurt from being trod on and i think thats the sign of a bloody good set at reading festival!! Van Mcann can be mine anyday, i'm so in love with him he's such a down to earth guy <3

We then came out for some fresh air and water and then headed back in to watch the amazing Twin Atlantic. I have been a fan of this band for quite a long time now and it was my first time seeing them so i was buzzing! Their energy was amazing & they sung all my fave twin atlantic songs ♥ We had to leave before the end of their set sadly because we had to catch the last train home but the set i did watch from them was incredible. They sound even better live than they do on record and i was singing a long to every song, if you have never listened to them i recommend you listen to Crash Land and Fall Into The Party = my faves.
Song Highlight = Fall Into The Party

So by the end of Reading, i was covered in mud all over my legs, my poor doc martens were indulged in mud, i wanted to shower & sleep! So that's exactly what i did... And i only did a day, i can't imagine how muddy i would have been after the whole weekend haha!I am hoping to camp the whole weekend next year at Reading which is really exciting! I hope you enjoyed reading about my day at Reading and hope i didn't blab on for ages lol i'm good at that... If you're planning to go next year and have any q's feel free to comment below :) I'll leave you with this photo of me and my bestie Isabelle ♥

I'll see you next week with another blog post!

V Festival 2015 | Hylands Park ❤

Hello & Welcome back to my blog... Sorry i missed a blog post last week, i was so busy with stuff & packing all my stuff for V Festival and shopping etc. But i'm back now with my experience at V Festival!

FRIDAY 21ST AUGUST

So i went last year & just did the weekend no camping but this year i camped! It was a wicked experience and i loved every minute of it (minus my shitty sunburn and carrying all my crap). So on the friday we got to Hylands Park around 10:30am to que to get into the camp. The walk was beyond what i could cope with the amount of stuff i had and the amount it all weighed, literally thought my hand was going to fall off. So m e dand my friend Chloe took the rest of our friends stuff and waited for the little shuttle bus thing to take us into the red camp, it was £10 each but i didn't even care at that point, i couldn't walk another half hour from where we were! So made it to camp and set up our tent, got all our stuff settled in & then chilled out on our camping chairs and started on the boooooooze.

My cool temp tattoos from Asos!

We then headed down into the arena about 7pm as there was DJ's playing all night in the Sure Arena, there was DJ S.K.T & R3wire and Varski to name a couple. That was pretty sick as they were playing really good songs & everyone was going mental. We then went to a DJ bar place called "Cocktail Cocktail" for a little while which was one the highlights of V, it was sick! We then headed back to the camp at about 12:30am and chilled out talking on our camping chairs for a little while and then eventually got some sleep but i woke up like every hour lol gr8 sleep.

SATURDAY 22ND AUGUST

I then woke up about 7 and then got ready for the day 1 of acts! My body was screaming for James Bay by this point. James Bay was the first act we saw and his set was UNBELIEVABLE. I was the only one who knew every single lyric to every single song and i legit had no shame, he gave such a beautiful set & beyond what i expected. I was pretty drunk at like 1pm for him but it made me have no shame and scream every lyric lol! We then watched some of Annie Mac's set and she was so so sick, i love listening to her on radio 1 and seeing her live was brill. We then went to the MTV stage to see Jess Glynne and she was incredible, the crowd were so good as well & she is even more amazing live. She even started crying because the crowd were singing every word back. She also bought Tinie Tempah on stage for Not Letting Go which was sick.

We then went back to the camp to grab some food and alcohol & then went back to the arena, to see some of Sam Smith's set which was beautiful as ever. We were singing our hearts out and the crowd were so involved. We then went to the Virgin Media Our House as we wanted to see DJ EZ in the dance tent but it had reached capacity so we went there instead and that was so good. We then went to see Nero headline the Sure Arena and that was SO sick it was madness.

After Nero, we hung out at Cocktail Cocktail for a little while until about 11 and they played absoloute tunes at this bar we were loving it lol. We then went back to the camp to chill for a bit and then headed back into the Sure Arena tent for the silent disco, we all grabbed a pair of headphones on the way in and there were 2 dj's on stage and you could swap between each dj throughout the disco and it was one the top highlights of V, everyone just danced and sang away, no one gave a shit and everyone just had a sick time. Plus it was literally tune after tune in there! By that point it was gone 2am and we headed back to the camp to get some sleep!

SUNDAY 23RD AUGUST

By this point i was defo feeling the desperate need of a shower and my sun burn was killing like hell and i wanted my bed haha! We all got ready & chilled out on our camping chairs drinking alcohol at like 9am (never too early). We then headed down to the arena about 12 to see Scouting For Girls and they were so good! We then went to the Virgin Media Our House to see Skepta, his set was maaaad!! It then chucked down so heavy with rain and i didn't have a rain coat so my makeup was dripping off my face so i was wearing my sunglasses to stop any mascara from running haha but we danced to Ella Eyre in the rain and then headed back to the camp to grab some more drink and wait until it stopped raining!

We then made our way back to the arena and headed to the dance tent to see one of my faves; Marvin Humes do a DJ set and it was incredible. The whole crowd was just so buzzed and it went off! We also got to the barrier for it as well and Marvin noticed us a few times which was kewlllllllll, it was such a sick set & one of my highlights of the weekend. We then watched George Ezra who was incredible as always, it was so relaxing listening to his beautiful voice.

We then grabbed something to eat and sat down for a bit listening to Ellie Goulding and then made our way to the MTV Stage to watch the beautiful Kodaline. They were incredible!!!! I was so excited to see them as well, some 40 year old men bought us vodka jelly shots so we basically ran away lol cyaaaaaa m8. After Kodaline we watched Clean Bandit and we were right at the front for them. They were really amazing, it was the first time i had properly seen them perform a full set as well. The energy from the crowd was so good.

Then it was the set i was most excited for ever ever ever - CALVIN ♥♥♥♥
His set was absoloutely incredible, the energy and atmosphere was crazy & everyone was going mental. Out of the few times i've seen him, V was definitely my favourite. He really put on an amazing set, full of his absolute bangers and also other artists popular songs. There were pyro's and fireworks as well which looked amazing. Although i was absolutely pissed out of my face by this point so i had the time of my life!!!

So that was my v weekend over :( i had one of the best weekends ever with the best friends ever & trying to put a tent down at 11:30pm drunk as hell was probably one of the highlights to be honest, i definitely had the best sleep ever sunday night!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my V Festival experience this year! I'll see you next time with my Reading Festival blog post ♥
