Hello & welcome back to my blog. Today's post is another music related post and it's all about the incredible Southend band Nothing But Thieves. I went to see them do an acoustic in store gig and signing at Banquet Records on 15th October and then the same at HMV Southend on the 16th October, in order to celebrate their debut self titled album release!

The first one i went to was held at Banquet Records in Kingston, London. This is a record store which sell a huge variety of vinyls and holds a lot of instore signings and sessions, i was really excited because it was my first visit to Banquet and i had heard a lot of good things about it, also a lot of amazing bands have visited the store.

The instore event started at 6pm, so we got there around 5:00 and just had a look at all the vinyls. It was then time for them to set up and soundcheck etc... they then did 4 of their songs which were Itch, Trip Switch, If I Get High & Wake Up Call. Because it was a stripped back session, only Conor, Dom and Joe were playing but the other guys (James and Phil) were watching in the store as well.

I loved how intimate it was, the first time i saw them was at Reading Festival so from going to a reading crowd to a tiny record store, was really weird but i loved it. Conor's voice is literally nothing like i've ever heard before, it leaves me speechless every time i hear it because it's SO fucking good. After the session we all got our copy of the debut album and qued up to get it signed and meet the band. I got a group photo of me and the band and they signed my CD. Because the band come from Southend in Essex, where i'm from, we had a nice convo about that and i also mentioned to them i was coming to the southend one tommorow. They are the loveliest guys ever, they took time to sign, take photos and have a conversation with everyone as well.

I then went to their instore event at HMV Southend, as it was in my hometown so i couldn't not go! I got my free copy of the album as i had HMV Priority access, so when we entered the store we picked up the copies and we lingered around for a bit until we all started to form a little crowd. The guys came into the store and then headed out the back whilst their tech crew got all set up. They were then ready to go so they then came out and performed their songs which were Wake Up Call, Itch, Trip Switch and If I Get High. Everyone was so pumped because of them being in our/their hometown. I think they were really happy with the amount of people who had turned up because they were quite a lot of people who were so excited to see them. After the incredible session of songs they performed (fucking incredible may i add, conors voice once again making me die) we qued up for the signing and meet and greet thing! They all signed my album and recognised me from the night before... Dom said "long time no see mate" hahaha, they were so lovely and made time to chat to everyone. A lot of their family were there as well because of it being a hometown thing which was cute. It was such a nice event because Southend never have events like this so it was really cool for it to be so local for me and for the guys to see the support they have back home.

I cannot recommend how incredible the Nothing But Thieves debut album is, it's one of those albums where you literally would not be able to physically skip any of the songs because every single one is AMAZING. I love every single song but my favourites are Ban All The Music, Trip Switch, Honey Whiskey, Hanging, Tempt You, If I Get High and Hostage. If you haven't got it and want to get it i will leave links below and you can also get it in your local HMV. I will also link to their songs for you guys to listen to. I honestly cannot wait to see them again.

Doc Martens + Ripped Jeans life

So before we headed to our seats, we went to Prezzo in Wembley for lunch/dinner and it was the most amazing food ever. I had a pasta carbonara with a sparkling water and it was the best thing i've tasted in my life. Prezzo did good x

We then got into the que about 5:00pm and doors opened at 6, we had standing tickets as well but still managed to get a sick view. We got into the venue and bought a bit of merch & then got into the actual arena and waited for Fall Out Boy. There was 3 support acts in total, the 1st and 2nd being brilliant (Charley Marley and Pro Green) and the 2nd being awful! I couldn't wait until they were off haha, they were called Matt & Kim i think! Finally it got to 9:05pm and it was time for FALL OUT BOY ♥

I can't even describe how much of an incredible time i had at Fall Out Boy, they got the set list SO perfect and on point. They included all of their old songs and ones of the new album and previous album it was amazing. The way they perform, their energy and how much effort they put into their shows is just amazing. We also had standing as well so the atmosphere on the floor was insane!!! I was so glad we got standing because everyone was having the time of their lives and going crazy.

My favourite songs they performed were Sugar We're Going Down, The Phoenix, Alone Together, This Ain't A Scene, Immortals & Centuries. They are such an incredible band and it was so nice to enjoy it with my sister who introduced me to Fall Out Boy by playing their albums at volume 100 when my room was next door ;) I left the arena, sweaty as hell and thirsty as hell but with the memory of one of the best gigs i've ever been to...

I hope you all enjoyed reading about my gig experience and review at Fall Out Boy, if you went let me know what you thought and if not then what gig have you been to recently?

I will also post some photos i took during the day as well below ::

James Bay Chaos & The Calm Tour at Brixton Academy 30/09/2015 ❤

Hello Everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today's post is another concert review/experience and today it's James Bay's Chaos and The Calm Tour. I went to see him on his first London date at Brixton Academy for the Chaos and The Calm Tour.

Setlist =

Collide
Craving
When We Were On Fire
If You Ever Want To Be In Love
Need The Sun To Break
Running
Sparks
Let It Go
Move Together
Scars
Best Fake Smile
Get Out While You Can
Incomplete
I'm Losing You (cover with Ronnie Wood)
Hold Back The River

We got to the venue around 6:55pm and doors opened at 7pm, but considering the time we got there we had such a brilliant view.So we listened to the 2 support acts that they had, the first one was Samm Henshaw who was really good and then the 2nd act as Elle King who was incredible, her voice was beautiful and her interaction with the crowd was so so good. She was bloody hilarious as well!I will link both singers here >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8kDjlVKCJU and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uLI6BnVh6w

It was then time for JAMES BAY ♥ He came on about 9:20pm and finished about 10:45pm. It was honestly one the best gigs i've ever been to in my whole entire life! I was so bloody excited for it and to hear the full Chaos and The Calm album live. I just am in love with the way James Bay performs and puts so much passion and love into every single show and song. He kept looking at the crowd after every few songs and you could tell how over whelmed he was that we had all come for him and that he had sold out 3 lots of the venue. His band were also incredible as well, he had 2 guitarists, drummer and piano player as well, James also played the guitar as always.

The crowd were also incredible, it was such a mixed audience which i love. Everyone was singing along to every word and having such a brilliant time. He did a cover torwards the end of his set of The Faces "I'm Losing You" and brought Ronnie Wood on stage to play guitar which was incredible! He was a member of The Faces and also The Rolling Stones, it was such a big moment! He sang a song which isn't on his album but on the deluxe version called "Running" i was legit praying he was going to sing this bc it's one of my favourite songs ever and when i saw it on his set list, i was so so happy. I don't think he was expecting people to know all the words but majority of Brixton Academy knew every single word!

My favourite songs of the whole set list were Collide, Hold Back The River, Running,If You Ever Wanna Be In Love & Best Fake Smile. It was such an incredible night, if you are really into singer song writers like Sam Smith and George Ezra, you will love James Bay live. Its made me so tempted to buy tickets to his Hammersmith Apollo 3 night residency next year because i already want to see him again! He lived up to my expectations and beyond. He's such a genuine guy as well and really deserves the success he has had so far in his career, i'm so in love ♥ I now also can't wait until he brings out his 2nd album!

I bought this wristband from the merch stand as well!

So that's my James Bay Chaos & The Calm Tour review from 30th September @ 02 Brixton Academy! I hope you enjoyed reading, i will link some of James songs below for you to listen to if you would like! Thankyou for reading and i will see you next week with another blog post...
